On Wednesday, November 19th 2025 Homespace cut the ribbon and pulled the curtain on a new logo, tagline, mission statement, vision statement and colors at their site at 1030 Ellicott Street. Homespace is a safe haven for youth in the foster care system age 14-21 who often have no other place to go. Founded in 1994, Homespace traditionally saw mostly teenage mothers with babies and young children, but over the past few years "the landscape of foster care has changed, so we are changing right along with it" said Homespace CEO, Lindsey Carter. "We wanted something more inclusive, and more representative of the current clients that we serve." After a ribbon cutting, and a sheet was pulled off of the new logo, refreshments were served and staff and board members were able to mingle and chat about the new branding at Homespace. Carter made a speech exuding excitement around the changes, while acknowledging that the agency is not straying too far from its roots. A celebration of the new brand identity for the agency will be held May 19th, 2026 at the Botanical Gardens called "Rooted in Purpose: A Celebration of Growth & Giving." More information can be found in the Homespace Fall 2025 Newsletter.
