BUFFALO, N.Y., February 1, 2024 — Homespace Corporation announced today that M&T Bank has provided $10,000 in grant funding to support the organization’s work to improve the health and wellness of the children and young adults it serves. Homespace Corporation offers residential services and support to at-risk youth in the foster care system ages 14-21, as well as their children if they have any. It is one of the only organizations of its kind in Western New York . The M&T grant funding will help Homespace provide a range of medical support services.

“With the support of M&T Bank, Homespace will be able to offer more medical support services to our youth, which can enable better health outcomes for children in foster care. Health and wellness statistics among individuals in the foster care system are eye-opening and troubling. This is something we are passionate about changing,” said Executive Director Michael Hill.

“Homespace does inspiring work daily to make a difference in the lives of young people in foster care,” said M&T Bank Regional President Eric Feldstein. “We’re grateful to have this opportunity to invest in their critical support services. Together, we can help our youth navigate adversity and empower them to achieve their greatest potential.”

Homespace Corporation has been providing services to children and families since 1994. Their mission is to support at-risk youth in achieving independence two generations at a time.” More information on Homespace can be found at www.homespacecorp.org.
